This set of "round the corner" timber sliding doors was unusual in that they required one leaf to swing free from the guide track when closed so specially adapted Seip TM60 electric door operator was installed and lack of clearance between the doors and the side wall for the track was overcome by partially recessing the Seip track in the plaster, a 50cm track extension was added to provide the 2.8 Mtrs of travel required for these doors.

These "round the corner" timber sliding doors are powered by a Seip TM60 electric door operator mounted on the side wall.

Click to enlarge image	Click to enlarge image A longer towing arm was required and the manual release cable was fitted in a convenient position on the door to enable the doors to be opened manually in the event of power failure
The total travel required on this installation was 4.5Mtrs. The Seip TM60 chain driven operator has a maximum travel of 2.5Mtrs as standard so two 1Mtr "C rail" track extension kits were fitted to provide the required travel. Lack of clearance for the track between the doors and the side wall was overcome by partially recessing the Seip track in the Thermalite blockwork,

If space permits a Seip electric door operator drive track can be positioned between the door and the side wall of the garage With a total door opening width of 22 feet this large garage uses a pair of Seip electric door operators to power two sets of sliding doors which meet in the middle when closed

	Even this installation was no problem for the versatile Seip electric door operator

Automation of this type of door is not generally recommended as a D.I.Y project unless you are keen for a challenge but if you can send some J-peg images of your door installation we'll be pleased to advise you regarding the feasibility of adding remote control to your doors
