Our conversion from vertically tracked to horizontally tracked gear
The original vertically tracked mechanism vertical tracks, support arms,
rollers, cables & springs etc. are removed & discarded |
The original parts removed - Henderson canopy support gear with overhead spring
Current 'Premier' type shown, earlier 'Merlin' type is similar |
Once the door is stripped of the original vertically tracked gear
it is re-installed on replacement horizontally tracked support gear
Click images to enlarge |  |  | | Some steel door panels have non-removable side weather strips which must be folded over carefully using a hammer to make way for the new Arcadian roller plates & weather strips, whilst most doors have the side weather strips secured with 'pop rivets' which can be 'drilled-out' quickly with a 4.5mm drill |
